Hi there, thanks for stopping by!
I first fell in love with the production industry in 2005, transitioning from residential construction to my first job in theater as a carpenter at RepStage in Howard County, MD. Over the next decade, I continued to freelance full time, working primarily as a carpenter, scenic artist, and props master, eventually transitioning to events and project management while earning a BA from University of Md, Baltimore County and an MFA from University of NC, School of the Arts. Over the years I have come to realize that while I take great pride in my work as an artisan, I not only enjoy but excel at sorting through challenging and demanding projects as a leader and an educator. Managing large groups of individuals with the dual focus of maximizing the potential of the those involved and the quality of work produced is not only a strength for me, but also a source of professional pride. In pursuit of that passion, I spent the last decade building a pre-professional Design & Production program within the Apex Arts Magnet of Annapolis Maryland, eventually earning a promotion to the position of Magnet Site Coordinator while still freelancing in production management and custom fabrication.
I left that position on excellent terms last summer, as my husband and I made the decision to move to North Carolina for family reasons. As I write this at the end of January 2026, I am currently in the process of updating this website to reflect my career through process and finished photos, samples of my students’ creations, curriculum and paperwork samples, and of course an updated resume. References are available upon request, as are proof of applicable certifications.
I hope you enjoy my work!
